Why do we do it?
Because we believe in what we do. Over 1.1 million children California children under age 19 remain uninsured yet are eligible for some type public, private, or local health coverage program. CHAMP-Net’s primary objective is to educate, support and assist communities to enroll more children in appropriate health coverage programs and, in doing so, reduce the numbers of uninsured children. This is accomplished through the internet, by providing information about free and low cost health coverage programs for California’s uninsured and by offering a variety of features designed to provide the most current eligibility and enrollment information. Children who are insured are healthier and stay in school longer than the children who are uninsured.

CHAMP-Net is a project of the National Health Foundation whose mission is to improve the health of the underserved by creating systemic solutions to gaps in healthcare access and delivery. To learn more, click here.
